Led by Mashrafe Mortaza, the Platoon side is in good hands but I won’t be picking him in my fantasy team because he seems to have lost the art of picking wickets in recent months. Talking about wickets, Wahab Riaz had a fantastic time in South Africa where he picked 9 wickets in 7 games including 3/19 in the last game for Cape Town Blitz. He’s fired up and ready to set Dhaka alight too!
Another person who you can’t miss is all-rounder Shahid Afridi who automatically becomes a good fantasy captain as well, because he never seems to age and contributes with both bat and ball. He recently picked 7 wickets in 6 games at the GT20 Canada while also scoring a best of 81*. Tamim Iqbal has been out of action since a while so I’ll rather pick Laurie Evans with the bat, who has experience from leagues around the world.
Rajshahi Royals
Where batsmen couldn’t score much runs, Andre Russell managed three scores of 35+ including a fifty in 6 games at the 2019 Abu Dhabi T10 League, not to mention 6 wickets to go with it. He leads the side here in BPL 2019/20. At the top of the order, Hazratullah Zazai hasn’t been in great touch while wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das could be a good pick as he’s being impressing one and all since the CWC 2019.
Youngster Afif Hossain will definitely be a part of my PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy team, having picked a record 5-fer on debut way back in BPL 2016. Since then, he’s improved on his batting as well, and could be a real threat in these conditions. At a height of 7 feet, Mohammad Irfan will be tough to negotiate for the relatively shorter Bangladesh batsmen and I’ll pick him even though he has only 7 wickets in his last 10 games.
