We’re reaching the business end of the 2019/20 Big Bash League and usually one of the most consistent teams of the Big Bash, Perth Scorchers haven’t managed to be at their best in BBL 2019/20, managing only 6 wins in their 12 matches thus far. A 13-man squad has been announced and Liam Guthrie and Cameron Green will be left out to give way for Ashton Agar and Ashton Turner, both of who will come in for Green and Tim David. Having international experience, both should be a part of your fantasy team today. The side is being captained by Mitchell Marsh and he’s been in red-hot form with 367 runs in 12 games with a top score of 93* this season.
However, Josh Inglis would be a better pick as he’s been more consistent with 387 runs in 12 games including 4 fifties at the top of the order. With the ball, their top wicket-taker so far has been Jhye Richardson who has managed 14 scalps along with Fawad Ahmed. Overseas player Liam Livingstone is another player I can’t leave out of my fantasy side, even though he’s bee nowhere near his best so far.
Adelaide Strikers
Middle order batsman Jonathan Wells has been good in the last few seasons of the Big Bash but he’s been great this season, with 4 fifties in 12 games so far. Though he hasn’t been available for all games so far, wicket-keeper Alex Carey is available and he has 299 runs in 8 games in BBL 2019/20 so far. Although, I’d like to see him batting higher up in the order, being wasted at numbers 6 and 7 for Strikers.
There’s no doubt about picking Rashid Khan in your Funtasy11 (sign-up with code “6CD431“) fantasy team, being their highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 12 games this season, and also being useful with the bat when needed. Another good contributor is Jake Weatherald who has 352 runs in the season. With the ball, Michael Neser is a good option with 8 wickets in 7 games so far.
