The squad is yet to get their combination right. With Jake Fraser-McGurk and Jack Wildermuth unavailable, Joe Mennie and Will Sutherland come back into the side. If there’s been one shining light so far for Renegades, it has been their top order batsman and the very experienced southpaw Shaun Marsh who has 134 runs in 3 games and he’s coming into this tournament with a couple of centuries for Western Australia too.
Talking about experience, there’s Dutch born Tom Cooper in the side too but batting so low down the order, he hasn’t been able to contribute much. However, he’s good with the ball too and picked 2 wickets in the last game. England’s Harry Gurney also comes to the BBL 2019/20 with a huge reputation of being a good T20 bowler but he’s been taken to the cleaners with only 3 wickets in 3 games. I’ll still pick him!
Adelaide Strikers
Go batting heavy with this team as 3 of the top 4 tournament run scorers are from Adelaide Strikers. In our REN vs STR fantasy team, Alex Carey is the first pick as wicket-keeper with very consistent scores of 45, 55, 45 so far in BBL 2019/20. He also has international experience and now an IPL contract too. So far, he has 145 runs in 3 games while Jake Weatherald has 146 runs with a best score of 83 and strike rate of 167.
Another player for my Fantain (Use Code “READ123”) fantasy teams could be Jonathan Wells since he’s been consistent and is yet to be dismissed. With the ball, the very exciting Rashid Khan is in the team and while the last few months have been a dry spell for him, he’s managed 4 wickets in 3 games here, so you can surely pick him. Harry Conway hasn’t been named in the 13-man squad and Liam O’Connor replaces him.
