AU-W vs NZ-W 2020 – 1st T20I Fantasy Preview

Along with the men’s competition, women’s cricket is also returning to action and while Windies Women are playing England Women, we have New Zealand Women also set to be in action as they make a short trip to their neighbouring country where they’re scheduled to play a total of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs in that order between 26 Sep – 7 Oct 2020!

They’re playing Australia Women and the latter has managed to have an upper hand on NZ Women in recent games, so we’re expecting the hosts to be favourites today, especially since they have the home advantage too. You’ll get a idea of team combinations in the 1st T20I. Keep reading for our complete AU-W vs NZ-W fantasy preview for BatBall11 (Code “READ123)…

Australia Women

Ellyse Perry is one of the greatest all-rounders of all-time but she hasn’t been among the wickets of late while she hasn’t scored a 50 in her last 10 international games either. Now if we want an all-rounder, we can go ahead and pick Annabel Sutherland who isn’t a very popular fantasy pick but there’s potential here, currently with a top score of 22* and just 2 wickets in her 6 T20Is till date.

The side is being captained by Meg Lanning who doesn’t have recent fifties either but she’s managed three 40+ scores in her last 10 games and she’s easily on of the best batters in world cricket right now. With the ball, Jess Jonassen is the best pick as the left arm spinner comes into this series with 17 wickets in her last 9 outings for Australia Women.

New Zealand Women

If you want a captain or vice-captain pick for the AU-W vs NZ-W 1st T20 fantasy team, Sophie Devine is the best option because she’s got 7 wickets in her last 10 games and with the bat, she’s got 4 fifties and a century as well. Suzie Bates used to also be one of the top all-rounders in the world but she doesn’t bowl anymore and has only one 50+ score with the bat in her last 10 games.

Natalie Dodd hasn’t played for NZ Women in a while but we’re picking her in our BatBall11 (Code “READ123) fantasy team because she’s been really good in the domestic circuit of late with 2 forties, 3 thirties and a top score of 86*. With 12 wickets in her last 10 games and a top score of 54, Amelia Kerr is another fantastic all-rounder pick you shouldn’t miss out on.
