Now comes the toughest challenge as the visitors prepare for the 4-match test series and to get them a little prepared, a couple of practice matches were scheduled against Australia A, this being the second one.

In the first practice game, India A scored 247/9 d and 189/9 d in their 2 innings but the game ended in the draw against Australia A. There are a few players in this side who are in good form, scoring big centuries in recent FC games but Joe Burns is not one of them. We’re leaving him out of this AU-A vs INDS fantasy team but we’re picking Cameron Green instead. This youngster recently made his international debut with very little domestic experience but he’s been spoken about very highly, with the perfect test cricket attitude. He scored 125* and picked 2 wickets in the last game.

Another player who is likely to score a few runs and is coming off a couple of recent centuries is captain Travis Head and we’ll pick him though he didn’t do all that well in the first tour game; he picked 2 wickets in that game too. Middle order batsman Marcus Harris got scores of 25 and 35 in the last game and after 2 starts, he’ll be looking at getting a massive score in this second warm up game. Will Pucovski suffered a concussion and is likely to miss this game.

Indians

For India, Prithvi Shaw failed with scores of 0 and 19 and he’s had a poor IPL 2020 prior to that as well, so we’re skipping him today. His opening partner Shubman Gill also bagged one duck in the last game but is likely to get another go and do well with it too. On his last tour to Australia, we were all impressed with all-rounder Hanuma Vihari and we’d suggest adding him to your side as well, since he contributes in both departments.
