Go for consistency with the bat. Middle order batsman Ravinderpal Singh smashed 101 runs in his T20 debut but since then, has only managed 21 runs in the next few games. I’ll skip him and pick Navneet Dhaliwal instead, who is the leading run scorer this tournament with 2 fifties and an average of 77 with the bat. Rizwan Cheema is also a good option as he has 107 runs with a best of 72 and an unbelievable strike rate of 184+.
With the ball, Dillon Heyliger is the tournament leader primarily because of his 4/19 in the last game. However, he has been consistent and has another 4-fer in this series and is yet to go wicketless in even a single game. The next best has been Romesh Eranga and considering this pitch has been good for medium pacers, I’ll pick him. Eranga too hasn’t gone wicketless in a single game this tournament.
USA
Steven Taylor was quite a disappointment in the first few games of the tournament but he’s still an extremely high-value PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy pick. So far, he has 134 runs and 3 wickets this tournament, the former mostly because of his fifty in the last game. Taylor is mostly used as an opener in both departments so it makes sense to choose him as your captain or vice-captain every time USA plays.
USA has struggled to put up runs on the board so go bowler-heavy here. Timil Patel is their leading wicket-taker with 9 wickets so far including 4/27 in the reverse fixture against Canada. Hayden Walsh Jr is a good bowling option too. In this tournament, he has only managed 3 wickets, but he has been handy with the bat after the top order collapses, scoring a few twenties and a total of 71 runs so far.
