USA has been on a roll so far in the 2019 CWC Challenge League 2, where all games have been assigned ODI status. They began by beating UAE in the first game of this leg at Sharjah and then the very next day, they beat Scotland too. Now, UAE and Scotland take on each other, the former playing their first game of the tournament against USA.
As for Scotland, they have 3 wins in 5 games in the tournament so far, doing well in the previous leg in Lauderill. Scotland obviously have more international exposure but it’s going to be an intense fight as UAE have the home advantage and know the conditions better. Keep reading for our complete Fantain (Use Code “READ123”) fantasy preview of the UAE vs SCO game…

UAE
We’ve often spoken about the talent that young Chirag Suri has, being the only UAE player to make it to the IPL. However, he has always under-performed when given a chance. Now at the top of the order, Suri impressed with 46 and makes it to my fantasy team. The best player in the side has to be Rohan Mustafa who was used badly in the last game, batting way down at #7 and being used as the 6th bowler, which saw him contribution being as good as nothing.
Captain Ahmed Raza has picked a wicket in almost all of his last few games and can all handle himself with the bat if needed, so I’ll pick him as well. Another bowler who hasn’t been getting wickets of late but is otherwise a smart bowler with plenty of variations is Zahoor Khan, who has also been travelling to play in various T20 leagues across the world. In the last game, he bagged 1/39 in 8 overs.
Scotland
There are plenty of match-winning batsmen in this side and one of them is wicket-keeper Matthew Cross who will open the batting. Despite his failure in the last game, the opener has 2 fifties in his last 4 international games for Scotland. He opens alongside captain Kyle Coetzer who I’ll skip because he’s a very popular fantasy pick. Instead, pick Calum MacLeod who won the 2018 award for Associate Batting Performance of the Year.
With the ball, the first person I’ll add to my Fantain (Use Code “READ123”) fantasy team is Safyaan Sharif who is a friend of Read Scoops and is a brilliant bowler, while also capable of cleaning up with the bat when needed. He picked 3 in the last game and hasn’t gone wicketless in 10+ games or Scotland currently. All-rounder Richie Berrington is also a must-have even though he’s reduced the amount he bowls. It was 9 innings ago that he last got a single-digit score.
