Early in 2019, the team at Read Scoops spoke to Gujarat batsman Priyank Panchal in an exclusive interview because he has been one of the most consistent cricketers in the Indian domestic circuit, particularly the longest format. He’s been getting runs in almost every edition of the Ranji Trophy and has been knocking the doors of the national side since about 5 years now.
His stats include 26 FC centuries in 111 games and a top score of 314*, including one massive knock of 257* which came just last month for Gujarat against Chandigarh in the Ranji Trophy 2022/23. One of the most popular batters in the domestic circuit right now, Panchal earlier today posted a picture for his social media followers, to announce that he is now officially engaged to be married.

He posted the image on the morning of Sunday, 29th Jan 2023, at the engagement ceremony of Kalna and Priyank. “And then we were engaged! Seeking the love and blessings of all of you as we set foot on this incredible journey together ! ❤️” read the caption of his image which saw hundreds of comments coming in immediately.
This included comments from several Indian cricketers as well. Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer posted, “Congratulations ❤️” while Test off-spinner Jayant Yadav also commented, saying, “Congratulations to the both of you.” Current CSK and former Team India all-rounder Shivam Dube also commented on the post this morning, with, “Congratulations to both of you ❤️.”

Some of the others to leave comments early on within the first hour of the post were Parthiv Patel, Ripal Patel, new Indian speedster Umran Malik, and others. Now 32 years old, Panchal has been super consistent with the bat for many years and now, it’s his turn to focus on his personal life as well. Just a couple of days ago, Indian all-rounder Axar Patel got married, while a couple of days prior to that, KL Rahul married actress Athiya Shetty. Clearly, it’s the wedding season among Indian cricketers right now. As for Priyank, he’s engaged to Kalna Shukla and as of now, there’s not a lot we know about his going-to-be wife.
Panchal has been a part of the India A squad a few times till date and has even been called to the national squad a coupe of times but has not yet been handed over a Test cap. Time may be running out for this consistent performer but today, we keep his career aside and wish him a hearty congratulations on the engagement.
