We know what you’re thinking after reading the title, that this is a featured or sponsored post by Cricbuzz. But no, it’s not. We at Read Scoops often just put up informative posts and since we’re a cricket crazy website and nation too, this is an application that 95% of cricket fanatics in the country have on their smartphones. Today, we’re going to let you know why it’s worth getting a Cricbuzz Plus subscription.
What is Cricbuzz Plus?
Well, it’s nothing but a pro version of this most popular cricket app that was developed and created by Pankaj Chhaparwal, Piyush Agrawal, and Pravin Hegde all the way back in 2004. It’s likely you’ve been using this app for a few years as well and now, they’ve launched a Cricbuzz Plus feature which will give you access to premium and exclusive content, as well as a few other features that we’re listing below:

1) No ads
Here’s a business that has crept into the digital world over the last couple of years. Knowing that everyone is using their apps, most of these companies tend to start hosting ads which can really hamper a viewing/using experience. Then, they ask you to pay for premium subscriptions which will get rid of these ads. Smart, no?
2) Match clips
During the game, you can have access to some exclusive match clips (but only for select India matches). However, this functionality is still improving and isn’t at its best yet. Basically, you can see video snippets of highlights, wickets gone down and more. It would be a nicer feature if made available for every game and for all wickets, at the least.
3) Exclusive articles
Interviews and features with the top names, strategy pieces and in-depth analysis. Maybe even columns from their brand ambassadors like Harsha Bhogle. Basically, something to distinguish cricket enthusiasts from the hardcore fans who like to enjoy all the deeper nuances of the game.
4) Cricbuzz Originals
Similar to the above, Cricbuzz is working on exclusive video content and shows which you will have access this. All this mentioned and ‘More Coming Soon’. So basically, Cricbuzz has launched the feature and is yet to disclose all the plus points for buying the subscription. However, at an early bird price of Rs.500/year for Cricbuzz Plus, we have purchased it and would recommend it to other cricket fans as well.
So if you were wondering if anyone has bought Cricbuzz Plus and whether it’s useful, we hope we’ve answered your question. As Cricbuzz themselves would say, it’s to put you #AboveTheNoise.
