Colin de Grandhomme Loses Famous Mullet

While footballers are usually more known for their famous different hairstyles as compared to cricketers, the latter aren’t too far away. Whether it’s Hardik Pandya’s golden streaked hair or Andre Russell’s mohawk, the cricketers never fail to amuse us with the best hairstyles. One of the best was also sported recently by New Zealand all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme.

Colin de Grandhomme Loses Famous Mullet

Known for his big hitting abilities and his dibbly-dobbly bowling style, the cricketer recently sported a mullet that would remind you of filmstars from the 1980s and early 1990s. He’s done the moustache look in the past, he’s done the clean shaved look as well but his mullet was among the best of his hairstyles, which gained praise from the entire cricketing community.

Now, de Grandhomme departed to Pakistan with the New Zealand national side to play the 2021 New Zealand tour of Pakistan. The two teams will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is between 17 Sep – 3 October 2021 before both teams head over to UAE to be a part of the much awaited 2020 T20 World Cup which has already been delayed since a year because of the coronavirus breakout in 2020.

New Zealand has already arrived in Pakistan and have been warming up before the 1st ODI. The squad’s social media team is always travelling with them and the BLACKCAPS Twitter account posted some breaking news an hour or so ago. It was about the fact that the 35-year old all-rounder de Grandhomme has cut off his famous mullet and will be sporting a brand new look on this historic tour.

While most of the focus n this tour will be on his performances with bat and ball rather than his hairstyle, he did have a few thousand fans of his mullet, and we’re definitely sad to see it go. Regardless, the tour begins on 17 September and we’re excited to see him in action once again. For more cricket updates from around the world, stay tuned to ReadScoops.com
