It’s the return of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL T20) and cricket fans in the country will be super happy because BPL 2019/20 was the last edition of this tournament to take place, because of Covid-19 and other complications. Regardless, BPL 2022 is here and this is the eighth edition of the annual T20 event in Bangladesh, with six regional teams participating.
The BPL 8 schedule was also released a while back and we’re expecting a really tough contest between 21 Jan – 18 Feb 2022. The teams involved have already had some success in recent years with the Dhaka franchise being the most successful one, with 3 titles to their name. BPL 2019/20 was won by Rajshahi Royals and they were excluded from BPL 2022, along with Rangpur Rangers!
