Cricketers these days are giving us all the gossip we need, through LIVE videos and chats on Instagram and other social media. With everyone stuck at home and quarantined, everyone’s taking to social media and daily, we have new secrets pouring out. Very recently, it was former Indian pacer S Sreesanth who hit the news for some comments he made on a live chat.
To give you a little bit of context, England all-rounder Ben Stokes recently released his autobiography titled ‘On Fire’ where the career-defining 2019 World Cup campaign has also been spoken about. In that, Stokesy mentioned the India vs England group stage game as well, and said that former Indian captain MS Dhoni didn’t show any intent. India could’ve won had he shown intent, said Stokes.

While it was just a comment and clearly meant nothing against MSD, Indian fans didn’t like the statement and quite a lot was hurled at him for this. Sreesanth himself spoke about it on his live chat a couple of days ago, telling his fans and interviewer that Stokes needs to ‘wear a helmet before he speaks against Dhoni bhai’.
He went on to add that Stokes has just been playing cricket for a few years and it won’t take much for MSD to even put an end to his career. Sreesanth mentioned that Dhoni doesn’t let anything out of his memory and it’ll be interesting when Stokes vs Dhoni next pans out in international cricket or even in the IPL.
Sreesanth gave Stokes an open challenge and even said he’ll be looking forward to bowling to Stokes some day in the future, to get back at these comments he made against Dhoni. Sreesanth is known for his 2007 T20 World Cup campaign where he played under Dhoni and had an important role in the Indian victory. However, he’s currently out of the game serving a ban for spot fixing.
