The leading T20 competition in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, the state governing body launched Arunachal Premier League (APL T20) in 2023, with five competing teams including Pare Warriors, Siang Sharks, Kamle Cobras, Tawang Tigers, and Kameng Strikers. An exciting first season ended with the Warriors emerging champions of APL 2023.
Now, we’re moved into APL Season 2 which they’re calling the #Reboot season, bringing to viewers a fresh and revived version of the tournament. The APL 2024 season also introduced a sixth team called Dirang Dragons, with multiple sponsorship deals done to improve the value of this upcoming T20 franchise tournament.
Pare Warriors won a low-scoring APL 2023 final, where they beat Kamle Cobras by a narrow margin of only 2 runs. Yash Tandon was the hero of the final, picking up 4/20 and helping his side become the first entry into the Arunachal Premier League winners list. It’ll be interesting to see if they can defend their title in APL 2024, which began on 8th Sep 2024.

In that first ever APL T20 final, Warriors managed 113/5 in their 12 overs, in a rain-reduced game of cricket. At one point looking good to cross the line, Cobras needed only 3 runs to final in the last 5 balls but what followed was a nightmare for Cobras but a thrilling game of cricket for us.
They lost 4 wickets in the next 5 balls, without adding a single run to the scorecard, and what looked like an easy chase in the last over was botched up really badly by the Cobras on an important final day. All games in that first season were played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Dimapur. APL Season 2 is being streamed live on FanCode in India:
