The Shpageeza Cricket League is one of the earliest T20 domestic tournaments in Afghanistan, which has come a long way since its inception in 2013. While it was launched in the domestic circuit as Shpageeza Cricket Tournament, a few changes in teams, names, and format took place over the years. The competition includes players from the national team, domestic players, and also a handful from the U-19 team.
This annual tournament began was launched by the Afghanistan Cricket Board and has five regional teams participating currently in the 2025 Shpageeza T20, with all games being played at Kabul. There have been some consistent performers in the tournament over the years and here on this page, we’ve put together an in-depth Shpageeza Cricket League winners list….

Winning the inaugural Shpageeza T20 season in 2013 was Speenghar Tigers and since these first couple of seasons weren’t accorded List A or T20 status by the ICC, there isn’t much details available during early days of this competition. However, we know that Speenghar won that first season and it wasn’t the only time they listed the title, doing so in 2015 and in 2022 as well, making them the most successful team in the competition with 3 titles.
They’re the only team to win the title thrice while a couple have won twice each. Mis Ainak Knights became the second to pocket two trophies, for winning in 2014 and 2019. Kabul Eagles was the third team to do so, winning in 2016 and Shpageeza League 2020 as well. See below for our complete Shpageeza League winners list, last updated 22nd July 2025, during the 2025 edition:

Interestingly, Speenghar has a 100% success rate as they won all three of the finals that they appeared in. On the other hand, Kabul made a total of three finals while the most consistent team in the history of this tournament so far is Mis Ainak Knights, making four consecutive finals between Shpageeza 2016 to 2020, out of which they won once and ended runner-up on three occasions.
Again because of lack of information about these matches in the earlier days, we don’t have information about which players ended up as the best performers in the final of the first couple of seasons. However, no player is yet to win the Man of the Match title in two separate Shpageeza T20 League finals, as yet!
