Shahidullah, Jamal, Munir Ahmad, and Darwish Rasooli remain the only players to have 1,000+ runs in this tournament, as no one else has been more consistent here over the years. Munir Ahmad holds the record for most centuries (4) in this competition’s history while the next best after him is 3 centuries each by Malik, Shinwari, Shahidullah, and Jamal.
Rasooli holds the record for the most number of fifties (10) in this tournament while purely in terms of batting averages, Munir Ahmad has been the best batsman in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan tournament. He scores at an average of 64.00 and Shahidullah has the next best average in the competition, far away behind him at 50.93.
We haven’t seen too many massive team totals in this tournament but one individual innings which will stand out for many years to come is Samiullah Shinwari’s 192(123)* which came back in 2018, in an innings which included 16 fours and 11 sixes. The knock remains the highest individual score in the Afghanistan List A Trophy till date.
From all the players on this list, only two have them have played for one region through their career here so far – Ahmadi and Malik – both of whom have represented only Amo Region over the years in the Ghazi Amanullah Regional One Day Tournament.
