The biggest one day domestic tournament in Afghanistan is the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament which has been granted List A status by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The league was established in 2017 and since then, there have been quite a few hidden talents discovered in this competition, both batsmen as well as bowlers.

Only two bowlers have taken multiple 4-fers in this tournament and those are Zahir Khan and Zia-ur-Rahman, while the only player to have multiple Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day 5-fers is Yamin Ahmadzai, who has two 5-fers to his name, including a best bowling spell of 5/34 in this List A tournament.

While there is a 6-fer among players on this list, the best bowling figures in the history of the Afghanistan List A tournament is 7/22 by Mohammad Ibrahim, someone who only has 12 wickets in 12 career games in this competition. In terms of economy rates from players on this list, Amir Hamza is way ahead of everyone else, being the only player with a sub-4 economy rate, going at 3.17 in this tournament so far.
Aftab Alam, Amir Hamza, and Sayed Shirzad feature on the list but they’ve not got a single 4-fer or 5-fer in the tournament till date, which is a testament to how consistent they’ve been without needing a single outstanding performance. Sharafuddin Ashraf (23 wickets), Nangeyalia Kharote (21 wickets), and Samiullah Shinwari (20 wickets) are three players who narrowly missed making this top 10 wicket-takers list.
