The Abu Dhabi T10 League when it first came out in 2017 was an absolute revelation because it halved the number of overs in the existing shortest format of cricket (T20). And while everyone thought this would be a failed experiment, the organisers proved us all wrong and today, we’ve had six seasons of this exciting tournament (sixth one being played in Nov-Dec 2022).
And considering there’s barely any time to settle down, the batsmen have to go from the first ball of the game. We’re used to seeing the biggest boundaries and sixes in this game and that’s why the batters are super important in T10 Cricket. Here on this page, we’ve listed down the top run scorers in every edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League, season on season.
The first Abu Dhabi T10 edition took place in 2017 and there was a handful of international cricketers in the mix. Of course, it was one of those international stars that went on to become the top scorer of the first edition, with New Zealand’s Luke Ronchi ensuring his stamped a mark of authority on the UAE league, with 197 runs in just 5 games including 3 fifties to his name.

Of course as the competition grew over the years, the number of teams and games per team also grew, which means Ronchi’s tally of 197 runs remained the lowest runs by the top run scorer in any edition of the Abu Dhabi T10. In only the second season of the tournament, West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran went on to become the first player to score 300+ runs in a T10 League single season, ending up with 324 runs in 9 games. He maintained his consistency in this tournament even though he may have not performed as well for the national side over the years, making him one of the top batsmen in Abu Dhabi T10 history itself.
The most runs however, in a single edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, was scored by Australia’s Chris Lynn who also loves this competition and he registered as many as 371 runs in 8 games back in the 2019 season, where he also scored the highest individual score in the Abu Dhabi T10 League – 91(30)*. His 29 boundaries in that season is also a record for any single season in this tournament.
