It’s official. Remember the date – 11/12/2017.
Cricketing phenomenon/superstar/sensation/legend (whatever the word is) Virat Kohli is now married to Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma, in a quiet ceremony in Italy earlier today morning. There was speculation over this since a few days, but all talks can now be put to rest. They are married.
Believe it or not, but this may be the biggest wedding of the century – stuff that would give competition to the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie or Abhishek Bachchan/Aishwarya Rai weddings. Whether Anushka will now be Anushka Kohli, or will remain Anushka Sharma, is left to be seen.
The duo first met while shooting a TV commercial and they are believed to have started dating way back in 2013. They believed that this was the right time to get married, so they didn’t waste any time, heading over to Italy and getting in done with in no time – much like the way Kohli approaches chases in limited overs cricket.
Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey. pic.twitter.com/aobTUwMNAK

The ceremony was indeed a quiet one (only friends and family), as only two cricketers seem to have been invited:
- Yuvraj Singh
- Sachin Tendulkar
However, if we’ve heard it right, there will be another wedding ceremony (much bigger one) when the pair is back in India. Virat has always maintained that Anushka has always been by his side, while Anushka has always preferred not to comment on their relationship status. However, it’s pretty clear now. MARRIED!
For true Virushka fans, today will be a happy day. A very, very, very happy day and we at Read Scoops wish the couple all the best for their future and wish them an extremely happy married life. How soon can we see little Mr Kohli in the Indian U 19 team again? Or will it be little Miss Kohli entering Bollywood?
