Complete Big Cricket League (BCL) Centuries List

We’ve been seeing a lot of retired players T20 leagues coming up in recent years, but here’s a new concept like none other. Let’s talk about the Big Cricket League (BCL T20) which is a combination of international stars of yesteryear, along with local cricketers from around the country. Who would’ve though local players could play with international stars in the same team?!

BCL 2024 made this possible with their first season after inception, with a total of 6 franchise teams participating. Each team has a mix of international and local players, and you can see our complete BCL Season 1 squads list here. On this page, we’re going to dive into some of the batting milestones of the tournament, specifically the centuries scored in BCL T20.

Complete Big Cricket League (BCL) Centuries List

It’s always special when a batter gets to a batting milestone and in BCL Season 1, the boundaries were smaller to provide full entertainment to fans in terms of fours and sixes. Because of that, it wasn’t too long before we saw the first BCL T20 century being scored, a few days into the inaugural edition. This was scored by Saket Sharma, representing MP Tigers in this edition.

While Sharma went into the history books, quite a few known cricketers followed him into the BCL centuries list, within a few days itself. Afghanistan former all-rounder Samiullah Shinwari scored the fastest of these BCL T20 centuries, smashing an unbeaten 111* at a strike rate of 240+. That game was also the first time that two players from the same team got centuries in the Big Cricket League, as Shinwari got there a few minutes after Shikhar Dhawan scored his ton, both for Northern Challengers.

Dhawan and Shinwari combined to scored a record 271 for their team in that match but all the limelight was stolen by another player in the next game, in England’s Phil Mustard. The left-hander smashed the ball to all corners of the ground to record the highest score in Big Cricket League history, one that we don’t think will be broken any time soon – 140(69)*.

At the time of our last update on this page, no batsman had scored multiple centuries in the tournament so far, but keep an eye out for the likes of Dhawan who is in fine form, while Yusuf Pathan got a few big scores as well in BCL 2024.
