Hundreds of people have been injured as an explosion rocked through the city of Beirut, the Lebanon capital. While news came in a few minutes ago, there’s no news as to what the source of the explosion could be. The violent blast has become talking news across the world as the country’s Health Minister confirmed news of the blast as well.
Several parts of Beirut have been affected as the explosion sent smoke into the city. Initial reports after the blast suggest that the explosion could’ve taken place in the capital’s port area that contains a number of warehouses. Immediately after the blast, ambulances were spotted rushing towards the scene of the blast in central Beirut.
Videos have been released online of the blast which shows windows and buildings being shattered over a large radius from the site of the blast. Hamad Hassan, the Health Minister, has confirmed that hundreds have been affected and injured due to the blast, while there’s no official word on how many people have been killed.
