Colbert then stood up and shook Craig’s hand as the 49-year old English actor agreed that he will be playing 007 in the 25th James Bond movie, which is scheduled to release in November 2019.
Along with Pierce Brosnan, Craig had starred in four James Bond movies – only Sean Connery and Roger Moore have starred in more 007 films till date (seven). This will be Craig’s fifth time playing James Bond, but could sadly also be his last.
Craig is also the highest paid 007 actor, having earned $39 million in the last 007 film Spectre. Before Spectre (2015), he also starred in Skyfall (2012), Quantum of Solace (2008) and Casino Royale (2006). The actor wants to go out on a high and Bond 25 will surely help him do that.
Twitter exploded with happiness ever since this announcement last night as Daniel Craig has been the ideal actor for the fictional character Agent 007 and everyone is eager to hear more announcements about the film.
