It’s getting from bad to worse in the United Kingdom and in most parts of the world, to be honest. In what could easily be one of the biggest coronavirus scares from across the world, UK politician and Prime Minister Boris Johnson was recently moved to intensive at St. Thomas’ Hospital care after testing positive for COVID-19.
On the morning of 7th April, it was confirmed that the PM’s condition had worsened and that he had been shifted to intensive care. While Johnson hasn’t been the most popular politician across the world, tweets came pouring in from citizens and political leaders from across the world for his speedy recovery.
He had deteriorating symptoms of coronavirus and needed to be kept under constant observation. Having been married twice in the past, Johnson has 5 children and one unborn child with partner Carrie Symonds, so they will be extremely satisfied to know that Boris has been recovering and has been recently shifted out of the ICU!
Regardless of whether he’s liked or not, having your Prime Minister battling it out for dear life is always going to be a tough time for any country. In the interim period, First Secretary Dominic Rennie Raab has been deputizing as Prime Minister, having initially taken office on 6th April 2020.
While we aren’t sure of a concrete source for this update on Johnson’s health yet, it was USA President Donald Trump who made it known to the world through his Twitter account. A few minutes back, he tweeted, “Great News: Prime Minister Boris Johnson has just been moved out of Intensive Care. Get well Boris!!!”

It’s good news for UK but the country is still on high alert as cases keep pouring through. As the global count has crossed 1.5 million positive coronavirus cases, UK itself has 65,000+ cases with around 8,000 deaths. For all those reading this article, we advise you to stay home, stay safe and stay healthy during this tough time!
