The Game Vlog social profiles 🌐:
Hi there! We know about The Game Vlog (TGV) social media, but who really behind it?
“Unlike many Twitter users or Youtubers these days, The Game Vlog’s identity has never been a mystery. My name is Hefin D’souza, a 32-year-old software developer from Mumbai. Business owner during the day and gamer during the nights is my life in a nutshell. My YouTube channel The Game Vlog was created 6 years back but had a long hiatus in between. After the pandemic hit, I got some free time to get back to a hobby that has never left me since childhood.”
“However, The Game Vlog YouTube channel isn’t just run by me alone. The real show runner on TGV is my friend and neighbour Bhavesh Lama, who we all fondly call as ‘Lama’. He streams Fortnite on the channel while I usually just do the tutorials, reviews and Fortnite early skin previews, which are more popularly known as Fortnite Leaks. Follow him on Instagram at @tgv_lama“
When did you begin your journey as a Fortnite dataminer?
“I don’t accept the title of a Fortnite dataminer or leaker because that has never been my end goal. I got fascinated by some Fortnite dataminers such as SexyNutella, Jinx, SizzyLeaks, XTigerHyperX and others. Then, I researched, dug deeper into game files and created a bit of a hype when they shared images / in-game previews of unreleased cosmetics or upcoming features of the game.”
FNPedia has been in talks as a must have utility for dataminers. Your thoughts? What inspired this creation?
“Here is where FModel comes into the picture. It doesn’t take long to realise that FModel 4 is one of the best and the most powerful utilities to datamine Fortnite game files or any UE4 based games. What’s even better is that FModel is open sourced. The idea of developing FNPedia was to make an easy-to-use interface for users to view Fortnite Cosmetics as soon as it gets decrypted. FNPedia is highly inspired by FModel, but in no way is it a replacement. FNPedia can be used as an additional utility for Fortnite dataminers or new dataminers who are just getting started.”
“FNPedia uses Fortnite-API.com to fetch the cosmetics, so you don’t need to have Fortnite installed on your computer to use FNPedia.”
What are the key features that makes FNPedia different from FModel?
“FNPedia can be an additional utility for leakers / dataminers which has features such as Icon Customizer, Shop Section Updates, Current Item Shop image which also displays the number of days the item was last seen in the shop, shows you the newest item in the shop and the rarest item in the shop all in just one click.”
“Additionally, you can also search cosmetics via their names, the set name, the pak number they were in, the number of days they were last seen in the shop and more such amazing features.”
We also know about a discord server you own called Fortnite India (FNI)…
“Fortnite India is a discord server I created with few of my Indian subscribers. It’s a community for Indian Fortnite players of all skill levels to get together and play with each other. We are proud to say we are one of the best non-toxic community of players who welcome players of all skill levels and help them up their game or find friends to play with.”
“We host regular tournaments, custom games and competitions which keeps the engagement of players high on our discord. We have 500+ members and 400+ of them are active Fortnite gamers. Our objective with Fortnite India has and always will be to create and maintain a non-toxic friendly environment for Fortnite gamers from India or players who play from the Middle East.”
Getting into a market which is booming and has a lot of growth potential is always the right way forward. We’d like to congratulate Hefin and the entire team at The Game Vlog for all their good work so far and wish them all the luck for future expansion plans as well. Until next time, happy gaming!
