Over the last couple of years, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) had taken over the world and with 50+ million monthly active users in India, their biggest market came from this country itself. However, havoc was wreaked when the Indian government decided to ban all things Chinese, due to its deteriorating relations with the country.
PUBG Mobile was by far the most popular mobile game in India before the ban and there were immediate options opening up. This included Krafton, the parent company of PUBG, talking about inking a deal with Microsoft, so they would be able to re-introduce itself to the Indian market. However, before that could happen, an Indian alternative has hit the market!
We’re talking about FAU-G, an app which was announced as soon as PUBG was banned and while it was the butt of plenty of jokes across the internet, work continued and it’s almost live now. Earlier today, it was announced that FAU-G was available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store for Android users!

Like true fans of the game are still waiting for the relaunch of PUBG, the Indian rival game is all set to create a splash, a battle royale game being developed by nCore Games. With the return of PUBG seeming near, the heat was on nCore and they decided to open the app for pre-registration today, 30 November 2020.
The Indian rival app has also been backed by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, so there’s a good chance this goes on to do well in the country. However, the jokes continued even today as plenty of users complained of having phone incompatible with their current devices. Several hundreds of users complained of not having compatible devices, which were the same devices on which they played PUBG Mobile.
For those who don’t know, the Indian game comes from the term ‘Fauji’ which means literally nothing but military person in Hindi. Considering the recent tension with China, the official teaser of the game also showed a Galwan Valley map. So far, there’s been no sign of the app on the Apple Store and while we can only speculate, we think the app could go live anytime in December 2020!
