There are so many jokes and memes and overall hype on social media regarding taking Dogecoin to the moon. While its price is barely at half a dollar, this cryptocurrency has grown leaps and bounds since the start of the year. One of the major reasons for its growth over the months is billionaire Elon Musk who often jokes about the meme currency Dogecoin, which has increased the hype among investors.
It was only last weekend that the businessman was called on to host Saturday Night Live and he tweeted about taking DOGE to the show as well. He did joke about it at the show which led to a tumultuous fall in the price of Dogecoin but investors are still very much believing in HODL (Holding on for Dear Life).

As if his multiple tweets were not already enough, Musk spoke once again about Dogecoin trading, tweeting to his 53 million followers. For those who know him, you will know he is the founder of automobile manufacturer Tesla and rocket and spacecraft company SpaceX and musk tweeted about the latter taking a Dogecoin project into space soon.
This includes SpaceX launching a satellite called Doge-1 to the moon next year, which literally means he wants to take Doge to the Moon. He says it’s going to be the first crypto coin in space, the first meme in space and the mission will be completely paid for in Doge as well. And he attached the ‘To The Moon’ popular song along with it for his followers.

Musk got a lot of mixed comments on this pot because now, no one knows whether he’s really supporting the crypto or whether he’s actually joking about it.
