I’ve just finished binge-watching Inside Edge Season 3 and since it’s been a few days since the season launched on Amazon Prime, we’re assuming you’ve finished it as well. As usual, the season was full of cricket, drama, power, murders, and more, and many people were wondering what happened to star batsman Vayu Raghavan at the end of Season 3 and how he will get through this hurdle in life.
Well firstly, let’s clarify the ending so we’re all on the same page. Firstly, Vayu and his sister Rohini were planning and plotting to get their coach Azeem arrested for match-fixing and dealings with Dubai don, Hammad. And while Azeem was arrested and being interrogated, Vayu just needed to ensure he double crosses the fixers and not do what he told them he would i.e get out between 95-99.

Now Vayu had absolutely no intention of cheating or getting out but the day before the game, former captain Rohit Shanbagh gave away a few tips to the Pakistan captain on how Vayu plays when in the nineties. The opposition obviously used that against him to get him out on 99. Vayu came back crestfallen because he knew his plan had backfired and a career was at stake now.
As India went on to win the Test and the series, Vayu told Rohit to go out and collect the trophy because he knew the authorities were on their way to collect him. And right enough, they came and while Rohini tried to explain to them it wasn’t an intentional dismissal, they took him away, while the media photographed Vayu getting into the police vans as well.
What will happen to Vayu in Inside Edge Season 4?
Now this is something worth thinking about. We see multiple ways out for Vayu, considering he’s the lead in the show and can’t be sitting in jail. At the end of the Inside Edge Season 3, we see Mantra Patil accepting a position of the betting license and with that, comes a lot of power. Obviously, we think she’ll use her power and influence to get her boyfriend out of jail for Season 4.
We see an additional twist in Inside Edge Season 4 as Mantra, a girl who always stood against wrongdoings, ended the season by doing a few wrong deeds. Along with Zarina Malik, she got Vikrant Dhawan arrested and then, she accepted the license from the Prime Minister as well. We think she could take over the antagonist role in the next season, as her father Yashwardhan Patil is no more.
