Quite a few media houses also posted tributes for the ‘King of Comedy’ as he was often referred to. He collapsed while working out in the gym on 10 Aug 2022 and since then, wasn’t able to recover. It’s definitely a sad day for the stand-up comedy industry, and for the country as a whole. The Indian Prime Minister decided to post a tribute message on the same. Actor Sonu Sood also posted with a broken heart emoji.

PM Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle to post condolences, saying, “Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

It’s easy to say that Raju Srivastava was a pioneer in this field and he introduced India to stand-up comedy in the late 2000s and early 2010s. We send a lot of prayers and wishes to his family and friends and hope that his soul may rest in peace. For similar news and updates from around the world, stay tuned to ReadScoops.com
