As a sports fan, you will definitely have heard of the name Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao Sr. aka Manny Pacquiao over the years. In case you haven’t, don’t worry because we’ll tell you. The Filipino professional boxer and now politician has often been regarded as one of the greatest professional boxers in the history of the sport and has countless titles and records and milestones to his name.
Of late however, the 42-year old spends most of his time outside the ring rather than within it. Having participated in 71 professional boxing events, it’s now time for him to don other roles and the most recent role we heard about was in the film-making industry as he is the executive producer of an upcoming movie against Asian hate crimes, known as ‘Zeus‘.
The eight-division world champion has made the film to raise awareness against such crimes and the movie is expected to release in August 2021. Currently, unity against discrimination is the need of the hour and that’s exactly what the film is portraying. Written, directed, and
produced by Chris Soriano who is also the lead actor, the goal of the film is to spread unity through the sport of boxing.

Not to give you too much of a spoiler, the movie focusses around the life of a middleweight champion who loses his mother to Covid-19 and he challenges an Asian-American boxer (Zeus) in the ring. Based on the dangerous streets of Los Angeles, Zeus reaches out to Coach Green (played by Miguel Matos) to help him prepare for the challenge!
Pacquiao and Soriano are expected to make an appearance in the USA sometime soon to answer questions, raise awareness and of course, promote the film.
