We all know Joey from F.R.I.E.N.D.S, don’t we?
Well, the actor Matt LeBlanc made his character so popular in that sitcom, that when the show finally went off air in 2004, he soon began another show called ‘Joey’ itself, where the “How you doing?” was used much less often though. His next big project was CBS sitcom Man With a Plan, which has just announced the dates for its third season.
Airing for the first time in 2016, the LeBlanc-led family sitcom Man With a Plan Season 3 will return to CBS on Monday, 4th February 2019 – slightly over 2 months from now. The show will replace the time slot of Happy Together, which averaged 4.7 million total viewers, making it the lowest rated and least watched sitcom.
Man With A Plan has already received an award for ‘People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Comedy’ and even though he’s 51-years old now, LeBlanc still looks charming on screen. Here, he plays a stay-at-home father who goes through the struggles of fatherhood after his wife decides to go to work after 13 years of being a homemaker.
LeBlanc plays Adam Burns in the show and he has to do through all the problems of modern-day parenting, coupled with family and marriage issues. His sisterin-law Marcy Burns is played by Kali Rocha and she appeared in a total of 24 episodes in the first couple of seasons. However, we will be seeing more of her as she has been upgraded as a series regular for Season 3.
Talking about giving Rocha the upgrade, Jackie Filgo, executive producer and co-creator of Man With A Plan, said, “Kali is effortlessly funny. She’s always believable, yet finds a way to add comedy. When you come across someone like Kali, you don’t want to let her go.” Man With A Plan Season 3 is currently in production and will go on air early next year.
The show involves a talented cast apart from LeBlanc, including Liza Snyder, Kevin Nealon, Stacy Keach, Matt Cook, Grace Kaufman, Matthew McCann and Hala Finely. Jackie Filgo, Jeff Filgo, Matt LeBlanc, Michael Rotenberg, Troy Zien and Gregg Mettler are the executive producers.
