List of Bigg Boss 12 Participants

Bigg Boss has, over the years, become one of the most popular reality shows in India. An adaptation of the ‘Big Brother’ competition, Bigg Boss is a Hindi reality show that has successfully been running for 11 years. Just yesterday, the 12th edition of the show began on Colors TV, and once again, the show is being hosted by Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan.

Salman has made the show his own over the years and has been a constant since Bigg Boss 4, which was nearly a decade ago now. Bigg Boss 12 kicked off last night, earlier in the year than it usually begins. Also, it has been given a new timing of 9pm every night on Colors, as compared to the late night slot it has had over the years.

In the build up to the show, there were a lot of rumours as to who will be participating and who wouldn’t be, as it happens every year. However, there won’t be any more confusion as the complete list of participants are already within the Bigg Boss house, except for any future wildcard entrants that there may be during the next couple of months.

Here’s a full list of the Bigg Boss 12 housemates:

1) Dipika Kakar

The 32-year old actress was part of a show called Sasural Simar Ka, and Bigg Boss does have a history of daily soap actresses leading the votes every year. Just last year too, Shilpa Shinde won. Kakar recently got married earlier this year but hasn’t entered the house with her husband. She seems to be one of the favourites.

2) Karanvir Bohra

If Kakar is a leading TV serial actress, then Bohra is a leading TV serial actor, who has generated a large fan base over the years, working in famous shows like Saubhagyavati Bhava, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Qubool Hai the latest one being Naagin 2. He will be one of the strongest male contenders.

3) Srishty Rode

Here’s another Indian TV serial actress who came into the limelight for working in ‘Kuchh Is Tara’ in 2007. Since then, she moved into television commercials as well as reality shows, and the 26-year old could be one to watch out for in Bigg Boss 12. Mind you, she has said, “I am here to win the show.”

4) Neha Pendse

Here’s another Indian television actress, who made her debut in Zee Marathi’s Bhagyalakshami. Since then, she has acted in various Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Malayalam shows. Versatile, eh? She has also called herself a ‘clean slate’ and that she is very image conscious, so it’ll be interesting to see how she goes on the show.

5) Shanthakumaran Sreesanth

He prefers to go by just Sreesanth. This man has been rumoured to be on the Bigg Boss reality show right since his axe from cricket in 2013 due to betting accusations. However, he is now really in the Bigg Boss 12 house and though he was once one of India’s most loved fast bowlers, it’s going to be tough to give competition to the actors and actresses in the house, who love the cameras. However, Sreesanth is quite an entertainer himself and is quite talented!

6)/7) Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu

Yes, these are two different people but we’ll tell you why we’ve listed them together. Jalota is a famous devotional singer who is 65-years old and is excited to be in the house to shed some weight and get more fit. Jasleen Matharu on the other hand is just 28 years old and she performs with Jalota at his functions and events.

There was a lot of talk about these two before they entered the house, with talks of them to be secretly dating. First day in the house and the secret was out, with the pair announcing that they are actually together, even though there is a 37-year difference between the two. Love is really blind, isn’t it?

8)/9) Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh

Here’s the first pair of commoners in Bigg Boss 12. If you remember last year well, you will remember the deep bonding between Manu and Manveer. This could that ‘jodi’ of Bigg Boss 12. Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh are friends, with the former being a lawyer by profession and the latter, slightly elder, is a policeman. The duo is from Haryana and they’ve promised a lot of entertainment from them this season.

10)/11) Sourabh Patel and Shivashish Mishra

Here’s another commoner duo, this pair being friends from Madhya Pradesh. Sourabh is a farmer by profession and he wants to let loose of all stereotypes related to farmers in the country, considering himself pretty street smart while being educated as well. His friend Shivashish is a businessman and claims to be on the show just to enjoy himself. How far do you think these two will go in Bigg Boss 12?

12)/13) Deepak Thakur and Urvashi Vani

Here’s an interesting pair. This one isn’t a celebrity pair or a commoner pair, but a mix. Deepak Thakur is a singer from Bihar, famous for his work in Gangs of Wasseypur and other movies, while Urvashi is interestingly, his fan. Or we could say, biggest fan. Thakur is just 19-years old while there isn’t much we know about this fan of his, except that she’s a huge fan!

14)/15) Saba Khan and Somi Khan

Don’t worry. It’s not going to be all boys from among the commoners. While we have seen many relationships in the Bigg Boss house over the years, this one will be a slightly different relationship as sisters Saba and Somi walk into the Bigg Boss 12 house. While they will be there to support each other, the two have also challenged each other to win the show.
