We all missed him didn’t we? The series finale was dubbed as one of the worst endings ever. Will this be the chance for redemption?
Ever since Showtime announced a 10 episode ‘Dexter’ reboot, there has been a great buzz among the fans. After all Dexter has been one of the most loved TV characters. For a serial killer with such a huge fan base, Dexter always struck a chord with his audience.
We always hear and read news about the heinous crimes which happen in our locality. But in many cases the accused are simply let go due to lack of evidence. We feel so frustrated and helpless over such things. This was the main reason why Dexter remains a special character. A serial killer marooning as a normal civilian during the day and killing villains in his free time.
Michael C Hall who also was the Executive Producer of the show pulls a stunning performance as Dexter Morgan, a police blood spatter in the day and a vigilante by night. Dexter is a man with homicidal tendencies who was taught by his late father to control this behavior and use it for a better cause. We will be doing a preview of all the seasons in our next article.

The new season marks the return of Clyde Phillips, the original executive producer. Showtime president Gary Levine, who said this in a statement: “’Dexter’ is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for Showtime, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago.”
About the series finale, Hall said, “I thought it was narratively satisfying – but it was not so savoury, I think the show had lost a certain amount of torque. Just inherently because of how long we’d done it, because of the storytelling capital we’d spent, because our writers may have been gassed… Maybe some people wanted a more satisfying… ending for him, either a happy ending or a more definitive sense of closure,” the report quoted.
