Ever since the launch of this multi-season web-series by Hotstar Specials in 2020, audiences across India have been hooked onto this Sushmita Sen led family drama. We’re talking about crime thriller Aarya which came back for its third season with the Aarya Season 3 release date being 3 November 2023. The 4-episode third season lived up to expectations, leaving everyone on the edge of their seats.
Aarya Season 3 saw more murders, more twists and turns, but otherwise a regular revenge story, with Sooraj Raizada (Indraneil Sengupta) looking to avenge his wife’s death. Aarya Sareen is known to never back down from challenges and she was up to every threat thrown her way, with the sole intention of keeping her family safe from rival mobs and gangsters.
Aarya Season 3 Plot Explained
The main plot is Sooraj getting his revenge against Aarya, and quite a few people lose their lives in the process. The secondary plot is Aarya’s involvement with the higher ups, including supplier boss Nalini Sahiba and the Russians. And with ACP Khan continuing his obsession with catching Aarya, his only victory comes in the form of catching Aarya’s 1,000-Crore drug consignment, while it was being transported.

In the process, Anton gets killed by Nalini Sahiba and the Russians send a new boss to handle their operations in India, in the form of Mikhail. Through all of the drama, the underlying feelings of Aarya’s children towards her keeps deteriorating, and they even start hating her towards the end of Aarya Season 3. Why?! Aditya gets bullied in school because of his mother’s reputation, Veer lost his girlfriend Roop who was pregnant with his child, an Arundhati thinks her mother is the villain through the story.

At the beginning of Aarya Season 3, we see Aarya being shot in the chest and everything in the 4 episodes after that was a throwback to the preceding events that took place 4 weeks ago. Towards the end of Aarya Season 3, we see Sooraj luring her into the same place his wife Nandini was buried, having Aarya’s friend Maya as a hostage with him.
Maya lied to Sooraj that it was Aarya who killed Nandini, in order to save her son Apu, and Aarya played along with the story when she heard of it. However, while Sooraj and Aarya have been monsters right through Season 3, she suddenly realises that the killings need to stop and she begs Maya not to pull the trigger on Sooraj when there was a chance. She consoles Sooraj and says sorry for what happened, and the latter breaks down, remembering the filth he has done trying to avenge his wife’s death.
Aarya Season 3 Ending Explained
Just when the matter was calmed at the showdown and guns kept aside, Veer steps to the forefront holding a gun, and threatening to shoot Sooraj because he overheard how Sooraj was responsible for Roop’s death. And Sooraj tried to take advantage of the fight between mother and son, picking up a gun fallen nearby, only for Aarya to spot it, snatch the gun from Veer, and shoot Sooraj dead.
Veer asked his mother to take him to Roop for a proper funeral and he showed hatred towards his mother for not being able to keep her safe. He shrugs off his mothers hug and in the background, we can hear Aru’s poem on the epic, where the villain was her mother. She wasn’t the prey but the predator. At the same time, Aarya gets a call to meet with the new Russian boss, Mikhail.

The show produced by Endemol Shine showed Aarya getting shot in the Aarya Season 3 trailer but we don’t reach that scene at all. The Aarya Season 3 ending shows what’s coming up in Aarya Season 4 where the heroine of the show will now face off against Nalini Sahiba, her son Abimanyu, and the new Russian boss Mikhail. All of this while her children start hating her for everything that she’s done and does.
