At the heart of the mystery is Farah Zaidi (Neha Sharma), a glamorous newcomer in the colony whose sudden death sets the 36 Days plot in motion. As we delve into the lives of the residents, we uncover a web of secrets, hidden relationships, and dark desires. The series masterfully constructs a labyrinth of suspects, each with their own motives and alibis.

36 Days Ending Explained: A Web of Lies and Secrets

36 Days web-series ending explained

The true enigma lies not in the identity of the killer but in Farah herself. Her real name (Suhana), her past, and her intentions remain shrouded in mystery. Was she seeking revenge against Dr. Rishikesh, the seemingly perfect family man? Or was she entangled in a dangerous game of her own making? All the answers come only in the last couple of episodes in the 8-episode thriller.

The ending of 36 Days is deliberately open-ended, leaving viewers to piece together the puzzle, though the murder mystery was most-definitely solved. Farah’s death is a catalyst for exposing the underbelly of the seemingly perfect lives of the residents. Their secrets, lies, and betrayals are laid bare, revealing the fragility of their carefully constructed facades.

It’s revealed how one couple (Lalita and Vinod) actually have more issues than we think, which get resolved towards the end. On the other hand, Rishikesh and his wife Radhika find that they can be together as a team, despite their past issues. As for Tony, he was taught a good lesson by Tara  / Tarun, the latter who robs the landlord and drives away in style.

36 Days is a psychological thriller that excels in creating a sense of unease and suspicion. The characters are complex and flawed, making them both relatable and unpredictable. At the end, Suhana realises that she was after the wrong person (Rishi) as her friend Sameera actually committed suicide because of her flawed relationship with her own husband, Mohit.

36 Days ending explained!

Suhana went over to the Jaykars’ home to say sorry with a cake that was laying in her refrigerator, sent to her by Benaifer aka Binny, a neighbour who had an issue with Suhana. In the name of an olive branch (cake with sorry written on it), Binny mixed rat poison with the cake, and that cake was unknowingly consumed by Rishi’s daughter, Aditi.

The next morning, the parents find her daughter lying dead without a pulse, because of the cake. Thinking Suhana had a hidden motive to do this, Radhika headed straight to Suhana’s house and stabbed her to her death. That scene led to an abrupt 36 Days ending, with viewers left to wonder what must’ve happened to Radhika and Rishi after that.

It’s also interesting to note that Suhana was dressed in her Venus Airlines air-hostess uniform. That was all an act and since she now no longer needed the facade, it makes us wonder why she wasn’t dressed in her normal clothes, as she was leaving Casa Magnolia for good. Note that this ending is open to interpretation, and viewers may have different theories.
