Earlier today, one of the most talented actors of the Kannada film industry, Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away. It was an absolute shock to the industry when this news came in earlier today. According to sources, the actor had issues breathing and was taken to a private hospital in Bengaluru. A few hours later, he passed away.
The official reason of death has been mentioned as heart attack which is extremely saddening, considering he was only 39 years of age. The Kannada film industry went into a state of shock, while a lot of the known Bollywood actors also expressed their grief on social media. After other actors like Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan, and more, Chiranjeevi is the next actor to die in the last month or so.
Chiranjeevi is known for his debut film ‘Vayuputra’ in 2009 after which he went on to act in more than 20 movies. These included ‘Chirru’, ‘Chandralekha’, ‘Aatagara’, ‘Bharjari’ and others. Currently, he was working on 4 projects which are in various different stages of production, where he played the lead role in all.
“He was brought in an unresponsive state to the hospital at 2.18 p.m. All efforts to resuscitate him failed and he was declared dead,” said Dr. G. Govindaiah Yateesh, unit head, Apollo Speciality Hospital, Jayanagar. The family claimed he suffered convulsions on Saturday night and was then breathless on Sunday.
