Yesterday, we had to bring you the most unfortunate news of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput being found hanging in his home in Bandra, Mumbai. Words can’t explain the emotion being felt by lakhs of people across the country, while the Bollywood industry itself was left in shock with this news.
Since then, quite a few actors, actresses, producers, directors, and other members of the fraternity have taken to social media to pay their tributes. Some have even gone on to make statements and other revelations. Some others have revealed information on his mental health that could’ve led to his suicide while some have chosen to stay mum.
One of these who decided to remain quiet on the matter was Nupur Sanon, new to this industry and currently better known for being the sister of popular actress, Kriti Sanon. There was no tweet or Instagram post from Nupur, which wasn’t received very well by netizens. They decided to hurl abuses and harass the actress only because she didn’t post about the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Not sure what logic this is, but it has only added to the hurt and grieving of the Sanon family. In such times, everyone reacts differently. When I open my phone, I see countless stories on WhatsApp about Sushant’s death but that’s not a necessity. If you don’t post about something on social media, it doesn’t mean you’ve been disrespectful.
Everyone grieves differently and when she was ready, Nupur posted to Instagram to shut out her trolls. She said, “Everybody has suddenly started talking about mental health on social media since yesterday…and then we have people harassing people who are actually in a state of shock,who are hurt,who are grieving ..by sending them disgusting tweets, msgs, comments for not posting on lnstagram !! ‘You are so heartless’ ‘ek post tak nahi daala’ ‘Tum logo ne ek reaction nahi diya kitne pathar dil ho tum’ These are the comments and msgs we are constantly getting !! Aap ki permission ho toh sukoon se ro sakte hain?? Please??”
