Indian actor, producer, and writer Kamaal R Khan has always been in the news for the most notorious reasons ever. He first rose to fame in 2009 when he participated in reality show, Bigg Boss in India. From there, he was thrown out due to violence and since then, it’s been a lot of the same from him, but almost always on social media.
His Twitter account has been a super entertaining one over the years and has grown to having 5+ million followers over time. He’s mostly known for his Bollywood film and actor reviews, where he doesn’t hold back at all. He has several times also insulted and abused some really top notch entities from the industry and today, he’s in the news for a change in his name!
Kamaal R Khan changes name!
He took to Twitter earlier today, 20th Aug 2022, to announce to his followers that he will renounce his own surname and take up his wife’s surname. “Today I have decided to drop #Khan from my name and add my wife’s sir name #Kumar in my name. My wife name is #AnitaKumar. So now my name is #KamalRashidKumar!” said his tweet.
We’re not sure at this point of time why he’s decided to do this and change his name to Kumar instead of Khan, but we can only speculate that he’s against the big ‘Khans’ of Bollywood. He often makes revelations (with no proof) of things that the big names have done in Bollywood, and talks a lot about nepotism as well.

His latest review of the Vijay Deverakonda film ‘Liger’ where he’s gone on to ridicule Karan Johar and the film, also adding tags like ‘Chappal wala Anakonda’. He goes by the bio ‘Actor, Critic & Trade analyst’ on Twitter and lakhs of social media users look forward to his film reviews which used to come out on ‘KRK Box Office’ initially, because these reviews are at least entertaining if nothing else.

We’re not sure about Anita Kumar and what her background is, but KRK received thousands of replies to this tweet on his change of name, which you can see above. ‘Sasta nasha mat kiya karo’ was one of the replies on this tweet while many users also praised him with replies like them being proud of him and that it’s something everyone should follow. ‘Time to change the patriarchal practices now!’ was another reply.
Twitter users can change names but the handles always remains the same, so a lot of users pointed out that they’ll believe hi only when he changes his handle to Kamal Rashid Kumar as well. “Did u get it registered and advertised in newspaper too or just doing this for the sake of popularity?” asked one of his followers.
