Dying of a heart attack or old age or a disease is acceptable to a certain extent but losing someone due to suicide is the most heartbreaking news possible. That’s what happened earlier today when news came out of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committing suicide in his house in Bandra, Mumbai.
One of the finest actors in the country, Sushant was found hanging in his bedroom earlier this afternoon.Β “Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide, Mumbai Police is investigating. Police has not found any note yet,” said DCP Pranay Ashok, Mumbai Police spokesperson. However, the body was later taken away for further investigations.
The 34-year old began with small screen roles in TV serials like Pavitra Rishta and then went on to make it big in Bollywood too, playing lead roles in movies like Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Raabta and most recently, Dil Bechara which released May 2020 where he starred alongside Sanjana Sanghi.

Rumours suggest that Sushant was struggling with depression over the last 6-8 months. However, we wouldn’t want to comment on anything regarding the cause of death until it’s confirmed. It was only last week that his ex-manager Disha Salian committed suicide after jumping from the 14th floor of her home in Mumbai. Theories are also being formulated as to how these two deaths are related…
Sushant always wanted to be an astronaut and even took up engineering. He left behind a scholarship at Stanford University for a career in Bollywood and he did make it big indeed. He was also a National Level Olympiad winner in Physics. Now, photos of Sushant lying in his bed at home are being circulated which is sickening. We request all media houses to please respect the privacy of the actor and his family.
In his 2019 movie ‘Chhichhore’, Sushant told a friend that suicide is never an option and that’s something we would like to tell you as well.Β News of his death came as an absolute shocker to the industry and everyone right from co-stars to cricketers to PM Modi took to social media to express their grief on this unfortunate event.
