The latest web-series which has been trending in India is ‘Breathe: Into the Shadows‘ Season 1 which released exclusively on Amazon Prime on 10th July 2020. The Breathe: Into the Shadows cast included the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Amit Sadh, and Plabita Borthakur, and the show has been well received by audiences around the world, and has even received brilliant reviews.
12 episodes are packed into the season of around 45-55 minutes each and every minute has been super captivating, a show that will have you on the edge of your seats right throughout. Miss a minute, and you’re going to be lost. Oh and just in case you didn’t know, there is a prelude to this series, an 8-episode season called ‘Breathe‘ (2108) where Amit Sadh starred along with R Madhavan.
The reason why the new series also says Season 1 is probably because of the change in name and addition of ‘Into the Shadows’ in the title. While there isn’t too much of a connect between the two series, it’s best you watch the 2018 show before watching the new release, for a better understanding of it. The Breathe: Into the Shadows IMDb rating debuted at 8.5 and is now 7.7 (as of 9th Dec 2021)

Coming back to the new show – those who watched may be slightly confused about the ending, as we’re left with a little bit of a confusing cliffhanger situation. At the end of the season, we see Avinash Sabharwal (Abhishek Bachchan) admitted to a mental asylum for 3 years and when his wife comes to visit him, he says that he’s getting better with the medication and it’s been more than a year since his split personality ‘J’ was seen.
However, as we watch further, we get to know that Avinash was actually lying and that J has actually taken over completely. We know this because he walks onto stage in the final scene with a limp. And prior to that, he speaks to Shirley (who was only a friend of J, and not Avinash) and hands her a chit, which has C-16 written on it. The Breathe Into the Shadows story is a captivating one, right till the end!
What was C-16?
Like we mentioned before, you can’t miss a single detail of this captivating show. If you did, then you’re probably one of many who haven’t understood the ending. If Avinash had time to work on himself in 3 years, then so did J. In fact, J managed to become complete and independent, being able to work on and hide his expressions, and also conceal the limp.
Now fully in control of Avinash, J is the very powerful force within the human being. Everyone wants to know what is this bloody C-16?! It’s clear that J won’t stop until he kills all victims (the 10 heads of Ravan) that are on his list. Having already killed 4 (Principal Moorthy, Angad, Natasha, Pritpal), we believe there’s plenty of scope for a return season where J will be back much stronger and improved.
Having made 3 of the killings through Avinash, we believe that he’s now selected Shirley (Saiyami Kher) for his next killing, which means she’s going to have a major role to play in Breathe: Into The Shadows Season 2. We believe C-16 could be the address or hotel room or basically, a hint for the next emotion/victim/head of Ravan.
Breathe: Into the Shadows Season 2 release date is not out as yet but it has been renewed for the next edition on Amazon Prime, which is likely to be out by 2022. All of the Breathe: Into the Shadows actors did a great job and for Season 2, Naveen Kasturia will join in as a lead role. For more updates on this story, you can stay tuned to ReadScoops.com…
