You know this shit is getting real when top names and celebrities started getting affected. Who are we to survive if people who have no shortage of money and access to amenities can’t? Just coming in is news of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan testing positive of coronavirus, the global pandemic which has affected millions in the last few months.
Decades of working in the industry, Bachchan has been an inspirations to millions in India and around the world and latest reports indicate he is hospitalized in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital after having tested positive for COVID-19. Always super active on social media, Bachchan himself shred the news with his followers on Twitter:
T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..
All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !— Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) July 11, 2020
For those who haven’t been taking COVID-19 and the precautions needed to be taken because of it, this should be a wake up call for you all. Bachchan not only tweeted his health status but also said that other members of his home have been tested and are awaiting test results, while also asking others he’s come in contact with to get a mandatory check done.

Fondly known as Big B in the industry, Amitabh has been doing lots for those affected included having sent 180 migrants back home in special flights. It’s unfortunate that the leading actor and host of popular reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati?’ has himself contracted the disease and we wish him a super speedy recovery.

Amitabh last featured in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo, where he starred alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in the film that premiered on Amazon Prime. Some other upcoming films that we can expect to see Amitabh in are Brahmastra, Chehre and Jhund. Now 77 years old, authorities are going to have to be at their best to ensure he recovers, as a majority of the death count are those above the age of 60 years!
