It was only recently in April 2022 that two of India’s leading actors decided to tie knot the make their marriage official. We’re talking about leading lady Alia Bhatt and leading actor Ranbir Kapoor, both coming from big Bollywood families. They married a couple of months ago and now, they’ve made a big announcement on social media.
They didn’t waste any time at all after getting married as Alia recently took to social media to share a picture from a hospital bed, announcing that the couple is expecting their first child soon. The pregnancy announcement has sent social media into a frenzy on Monday, 27th June 2022, morning. What a way to start the week!

Hundreds of comments started pouring in withing seconds and minutes of Alia posting a carousel image on her Instagram account. The first image was of her and Ranbir at a sonography, while the second image is a cute picture of a lion and lioness, along with a cub with them. The caption read, “Our baby ….. coming soon ♾❤️✨”
A number of close family friends as well as other actors and actresses from the industry commented on Alia’s post after seeing the news. Introducing a child into a family is one of the happiest moments in people’s lives and we’re sure that Alia and Ranbir are overjoyed with this new development in their married life.

Among the many to quickly post congratulatory messages on the post were Priyanka Chopra, who posted “Congratulations honey!! Yaaaay! Can’t wait 😍”. Another immediate message came from Vaani Kapoor who posted “Congratulations ❤️” on the latest upload from Alia Bhatt. The image received a million likes within less than 45 minutes of being uploaded!
The 29-year old Alia Bhatt is in the prime of her career right now, with blockbuster after blockbuster being released in the last few years. She may now decide to take a little bit of a rest for a couple of years before coming back to work full swing. However, it’s easy to say she’s one of the top female actors in Bollywood as of today, her most recent film being Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Some other members of the industry who reacted to the pregnancy post included Parineeti Chopra who posted a comment “Congratss lovers!! 👶🏻💕” while Ishaan Katter also put up a message for the couple, saying “Oh wowwww congrats you two ❤️”.
