While everyone’s having a tough time staying indoor, the lockdown has been particularly harsh on our Indian cricketers, now having been extended to at least 3rd May 2020. Around the world, people have been finding ingenious ways to pas their time, and posting entries to various social media platforms.
In the cricketing world, the ESPNcricinfo handle has been very active, bringing the funniest and most talented submissions to the public eye. Normal user submissions are allowed, while quite a few known cricketers have also been contributing. One such recent video will surely have you in splits, with the Indian female cricketers organizing the Isolation Cricket Cup!
In the video, Veda Krishnamurthy is being seen batting, fresh off a stint in the T20 World Cup where the Indian eves reached the finals last month. Akanksha Kohli dons the wicket-keeping gloves while Reema Malhotra is the bowler and Mona Meshram was spotted in the outfield. We have special appearances by an umpire, and of course, audience as well cheering on the action in the Isolation Cricket Cup.
To make things even more exciting, we have former female Australian cricketer Lisa Sthalekar doing commentary on the live action and if you’ve been missing some cricket on your television screens, take a look at what these girls were up to across geographical territories. Watch here:
